I am a deputy Programme Leader and lecturer for the BSc (Hons) Psychology and Sociology course. I completed my undergraduate studies in Russia and then moved to Scotland, where I obtained an MRes degree from the University of St Andrews and a doctorate in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh.
I have a diverse teaching background and have taught psychology, sociology and education across further education (FE) and higher education (HE) sectors in Scotland, including Newbattle Abbey College, an adult education college in Edinburgh.
In addition to being a Sociology Lecturer here at 桃子视频, I also work as a Lecturer in Adult Education and Director of the Access to Degree Studies Programme at the University of Stirling.
My teaching specialisations are pedagogical and sociological theory, class, identity and social movements, with an additional expertise in discursive studies and research methodologies.
Having worked at the intersection of FE and HE sector for years, I am acutely aware of challenges associated with educational transition and issues of social inequality in educational access; those topics form the backbone of my research interests.
As a lecturer on the BSc (Hons) Psychology and Sociology course, my teaching areas include modules such as:
- Material Culture: The Social Life of Things
- Self and Identity
- Interaction and Social Order
